another door opens.
It's a bit crazy, how quickly these four and a half years have passed.
This past summer when I was working full-time as a family assistant I remember thinking to myself, this is it! My last summer, my last extended period of time that I can take to relax and enjoy my time "off" before I am a college graduate.
I couldn't have imagined then, that those short sunny days and balmy nights would quickly fade into the long days of New York winter.
It seems like just yesterday I was waking up at 5:30, taking Pierre (my golden doodle) to the beach for a quick run before going to work. It seems like just yesterday I was getting dressed to go to Social Club for yet another unforgettable Saturday night with friends. It seems like just yesterday I was dreaming of what I'd be doing this December, after my classes were done.
And now it's here!
I have a couple finals left and one final paper, and then at approximately 9pm on Wednesday night I will be ALL DONE with my senior semester of college. It's completely surreal.
I know this is the beginning of my life journey. It's somewhat liberating, and definitely exciting, to know that my future is now in my hands. I'm on my way to being independent of my parents (this liberation is rather bittersweet).
It's exciting. It's a bit scary. It's awesome. It's amazing.
It's here.
